Chairman of the Board/President

Driven by a genuine desire to contribute to the global creative community, Justin Raymond Merino founded kulturspace with fifteen years of diverse experiences in management, design and cultural environments in international organisations, he offers clients and collaborators a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and creative dexterity.

Justin’s education includes Business Management studies at COC, a degree in Design and Visual Communications from the University of Pennsylvania, and in Film & Cinema from the University of London. A strong believer in self-advancement, he also studied Project Management at Pinnacle P.D., Exhibition Design at Node’s Center for Curatorial Studies, and participated in numerous educational programmes at Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Spanning over a decade of supervisory practice, Justin’s multifaceted portfolio includes roles such as Operations/Merger Coordinator at Ferguson Enterprises Inc., Facilities Consultant for Warner Music Group, Project Manager within the International Television Department at Warner Bros. Studios, Head Coordinator at LuxeLab & ArtLab, and Facilities Coordinator at Los Angeles Fire Department, amongst others. His responsibilities ranged from overseeing a staff of 40+ people, to managing a US$1billion facilities remodel for Warner Bros. Studios.

Justin’s progressive character, innovative ideas and communicational adeptness led to his appointment as Operations and Artist Relations Director at the Manhattan-based Artist Pension Trust in late 2011. His duties included handling of investments and corporate relations with over 700 clients in the UK, Los Angeles and New York, in addition to managing the global Operations and Logistics staff and business development. His hard work and dedication saw his prompt promotion in 2013 to Director General of the newly founded non-profit APT Institute, where he played an integral role in the development of the organisation’s concept, branding and marketing strategies.

Justin’s focus now lies on nurturing and expanding kulturspace’s international presence as THE Creative(s) Agency, working with and for creative individuals and organisations to bring their ideas to life. He envisions a future where we’re able to devote ourselves to our individual creative pursuits, enriching our world with artistic, cultural and innovative visions, but doing so with the support of a larger collective - free from the limitations of a traditional brick-and-mortar setup.

A native of Los Angeles, Justin Raymond Merino presently collects air miles living and working between Los Angeles, California and Berlin, Germany.
